About the speciality

About the speciality

Substance use and other compulsive habits usually start as solutions before they become problems. I work with adults in Hong Kong to understand what the substance or behaviour is doing for you and build alternatives that don't carry the same cost. The approach draws on CBT, ACT, and motivational interviewing. The work is collaborative and non-judgemental, and you don't need to be ready to quit to begin.
If youre a parent wonderrnig about how to talk to your teen about vaping or other substances, here's a blog that may help start the converstaion.

If you're struggling with substance use or caught in unhealthy habits, I can help. My work focuses on understanding the drivers behind these patterns, because lasting change comes from addressing the function a habit is serving rather than the habit itself. With teens especially, the approach starts from curiosity rather than confrontation, since you can help a teen quit vaping without a power struggle. I also help you build momentum in a way that holds, partly by noticing the slips that didn't happen, not just the ones that did. Together we will build resilience, strengthen self-control, and create lasting changes that support a healthier, more fulfilling life.
