Coaching or Tutoring?

Coaching builds skills and habits to master a range of school subjects. Coaching builds skills that will sustain students over time, through transitions to college, and is considered a long-term investment.

Tutoring targets a specific subject area, like English or maths, to help meet a short-term goal, like improving their grades or preparing for a major assessment.

Outcomes of Coaching

Students learn how to  budget their time, deal with frustration and boredom and anticipate difficulties. With coaching, students begin to set up their workspace to minimise distractions and manage multiple tasks while also improving their social lives.

Costs & Location

Sessions cost 1,250.00 HKD and students typically need about six months of weekly 1-hour sessions to unlearn bad habits and develop new strategies. Payment via bank transfer

Co-Vid 19 update: Coaching now happens on video call (Zoom) or in-person at a client's home.

Hiring Rick was the best decision that we made for our son. We went through a few tutors and therapists and none of them really seemed to understand our son in a way that helped him. Our son is now in college and doing great.
— Parents of 16 year old with ADHD
Our son is smart, but he gamed all night long and his grades constantly suffered. His teachers said he was too quiet, lazy, disorganised, etc. We hired Rick just so we dont have to manage his life anymore. Once we did, the negative emails from teachers eventually stopped and we got to be his parents again.
— Father of 13 year old
My daughter isn’t a typical kid. She is a perfectionist with a high IQ and a lot of anxiety. She always looked forward to her sessions and said her life just felt easier afterwards.
